Chef Ertugrul Filiz

Originally from Turkey, Chef Ertugrul ("Ertu") Filiz presents a vegetable-forward menu in Sofra inspired by dishes from Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, and Israel.

After earning his Culinary Arts degree in Turkey, Chef Ertu joined the Mandarin Oriental group, working in luxury hotel kitchens in Turkey, Qatar, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Chef Ertu joined the Marriott Luxury Brands to work alongside renowned Turkish Chef Osman Sezener to open his eponymous restaurant at The Bodrum EDITION, gaining a Michelin Star for "Kitchen Bodrum".  Chef Ertu joined The Ritz-Carlton, Naples in 2022 as Restaurant Chef to concept and launch Sofra.
